Santiago
de Compostela was declared a World Heritage City by UNESCO in 1985, in
view of its urban beauty and monumental integrity, as well as the
profound echoes of its spiritual significance as an apostolic sanctuary
and the destination of the Middle Ages´ most important religious and
cultural movement: the Way of Saint James pilgrimage.
As
university city, as capital of the Regional Autonomy of Galicia, and for
being an important cultural and tourist destination, Santiago de
Compostela has become an important city for conferences.

place at Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Galicia, at Miguel Ferro Caaveiro s/n (CP 15707),

How to
arrive?

most charming way to arrive Santiago de Compostela is, without doubt
walking (or by bicycle or horse) following the Way of Saint James
pilgrimage, but of course there are fasters ways.

form Madrid, and A-52 Rias Baixas) |

train: connected directly from Madrid (3 trains per day) and Bilbao
(1 train per day). |
